GTS is seeking a Mid-Level Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to drive a high-ownership QA culture and ensure product quality. You will design, implement, and enhance robust automation frameworks for UI and API testing using Java-based tooling.

The role requires strong problem-solving, proactive communication, and a willingness to collaborate with distributed teams across the US and LATAM. Hybrid work in Medellín, Colombia, with regular on-site presence for team alignment.

Formación

• 3+ years of experience as an SDET or Test Automation Engineer.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• UI automation with Java + Selenide (preferred) or Selenium WebDriver, using POM.
• REST API automation experience.
• SQL for data validation and debugging; TestRail experience.
• CI/CD environments (Jenkins) and pipeline analysis.
• Git for version control; Maven or Gradle for build automation.
• Strong knowledge of automation design patterns and best practices.
• High ownership mindset and accountability.
• Excellent English communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Own testing initiatives across the full lifecycle (planning to reporting).
• Design, build, maintain, and optimize UI and API automation frameworks.
• Analyze feature scope and acceptance criteria; debug root causes with SMEs.
• Execute and monitor automation pipelines and report failures.
• Collaborate with developers and product owners on requirements and test strategies.
• Escalate blockers proactively in distributed environments.
• Provide guidance and best practices to enable shared automated QA ownership.
• Drive QA process improvements to reduce regression time and increase stability.
