Carbon Health is seeking a Medical Billing Payment Posting Specialist to join our billing team in Bogota. You will be responsible for posting insurance EOBs/ERAs and daily lockbox deposits, ensuring timely payments and accurate cash reconciliation.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of medical payment posting experience, strong Excel skills, and deep knowledge of health insurance processes. You will support multiple departments and drive payment accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• 3+ years of medical payment posting experience.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and Google Workspace; strong Excel.
• In-depth knowledge of how health insurance works.
• Extremely organized with high attention to detail.
• Clear understanding of ERAs, EOBs, EFTs and lockbox functions.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain timely posting of payments and cash reconciliation daily.
• Audit payment history for accuracy.
• Ensure daily/weekly/monthly productivity goals are met.
• Call insurance companies for missing explanation of benefits.
• Track down missing payments from insurers to be reprocessed.
• Send missing W9s for payment processing.
• Own and drive research of inaccurate payments.
• Review work and monitor credit balances.
• Assist staff across departments with payment questions/issues.
• Strong understanding of provider level adjustments/takebacks.

THE JOB AT A GLANCE

In this position you will be responsible for posting insurance EOB’s, ERAs and daily lockbox deposits. Being analytical is important as daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliation is needed.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
