SGS in Bogotá is seeking a DQM Expert to ensure accurate, compliant master data across Finance processes (PTP, OTC, RTR). You will govern, validate, and maintain data to support efficient finance operations.

You will collaborate with Global Finance Integration, drive data quality improvements, support audits, and train regional users on data standards and GDPR/SOX controls.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 3–5 years in Master Data Management or Finance processes.
• Knowledge of master data governance for Finance.
• Experience with ERP and MDM tools (SAP MDG, Informatica, Reltio, etc.).

Responsabilidades

• Own master data governance across P2P, OTC, and RTR processes.
• Ensure GDPR, SOX compliance and data protection standards.
• Collaborate with Global Finance Integration Team and cross-functional partners.
• Conduct periodic data quality checks and provide KPI reporting.
• Support ERP/CRM integrations to ensure data consistency.
• Train Finance teams on data accuracy and governance.
• Identify opportunities to automate validation and workflows.

Job Description

The DQM Expert ensures accurate, compliant, and high-quality master data supporting various process streams in Finance. The role focuses on governance, validation, and maintenance of master data used for finance processes such as PTP, OTC and RTR. By ensuring data integrity and compliance, the Expert enables efficient process execution and adherence to data protection and financial regulations

Operational Data Management

• Ownership of key transformation projects (e.g., e-invoicing, new acquisitions, account merges
• Ongoing support for current requestor needs within transformations scope
• Partnership with Global Finance Integration Team
• Manage master data lifecycle, ensuring compliance with global standards and local requirements.
• Support adoption of golden rules validation techniques
• Conduct periodic data reviews and updates to maintain high-quality, compliant data records
• Execute quality checks and provide meaningful reporting to drive increase in quality
• Supports and executes user acceptance testing for different system integrations
• Support clean up activities across systems and geographies
• Support creation of master data definitions (metadata) and ensures adoption of common understanding

Compliance & Control

• Ensure master data is compliant with GDPR, SOX, and internal data protection standards.
• Ensure transactional teams have complete approval evidence and audit trails for data creation and changes.
• Support internal audits, risk assessments, and remediation of identified issues.
• Collaborate with GPOs to validate KYC, sanctions, credit limits and any other dimensions of the master data

Governance & Collaboration

• Partner with Sales, Procurement, Legal, Finance (Retained, GPO and SSCs), Credit, and IT (FIS and I,T & D) to ensure alignment and consistency across master data processes.
• Participate in global data governance forums and contribute to policy refinement and adoption
• Support ERP/CRM integrations to ensure customer master data consistency across platforms.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to automate data validation, approval workflows and quality checks
• Support system enhancement testing and process optimization projects.
• Track and report data quality KPIs and process efficiency metrics.

Training & Knowledge Sharing

• Conduct workshops for Finance streams on data accuracy, privacy, and governance.
• Maintain and update documentation of master data procedures and standards.
• Provide coaching and guidance to new MDM team members and regional users.
• Act as a subject-matter expert (SME) for master data compliance and GDPR-related topics.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Master Data Management or Finance processes.
• Knowledge of master data governance for Finance (suppliers, customers, CoA, reporting segments, inventory and other).
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Workday) and MDM tools (SAP MDG, Informatica, Reltio, etc.).
