Job description

When you join GAR, you join something bigger. Big in scale, big in opportunities to grow, and big in impact. With over 100,000 employees across 14 countries, spanning Asia, Europe, North America, and South America, Golden Agri-Resources (GAR) is one of the largest agribusinesses in the world. We manage over half a million hectares of palm oil plantations, including smallholder farms, across Indonesia. But our size is only part of the story. Since 1997, we’ve put sustainability at the centre of how we grow, working hand-in-hand with farmers, communities, and partners to deliver food, fuel, and a better future.

We’re a seed-to-shelf business rooted in palm oil, now expanding across other essential crops like sugar, soybean, sunflower, and coconut.

Our people are our edge. We invest in them through global opportunities, cross-border exposure, and continuous learning, because growing a better business starts with growing our people.

Here, your career feeds something meaningful for the planet, people, and generations to come.

We’re looking for a proactive, hands-on and results-oriented Logistics Assistant to join our team in Barranquilla! The ideal candidate has excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail, combined with good communication and interpersonal skills. You are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, able to manage priorities and tight deadlines, and perform well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. You’re meticulous, accurate, curious and versatile, with a strong sense of ownership and a willingness to learn. You enjoy working in a multicultural, dynamic and evolving environment and bring a humble, proactive and collaborative approach to your work.

If this sounds like you — or someone in your network — we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit the "Certificados al Proveedor" to Local Customs within the required regulatory deadlines.
  • Analyze import and export procedures to ensure smooth and compliant operations.
  • Ensure export documentation is complete, accurate, and properly controlled.
  • Prepare and submit required reports to local authorities in line with the obligations of a "Sociedad Comercializadora Internacional".
  • Support the Commercial and Logistics teams with day-to-day activities.
  • Provide back-office support to the Operations team and assist with daily operational tasks.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and consistent sales and delivery processes.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to logistics and distribution operations.
  • Maintain and manage the ERP system to ensure logistics and distribution data is accurate and up to date, and generate reports to support informed decision-making.
  • Keep documentation and records organized and up to date for internal and external audits.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in International Trade and Customs, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Previous internship experience during university studies, ideally within the logistics, international trade, or customs sector. Experience in a customs agency, freight forwarder, or port operator is a plus.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Fluent in Spanish, both written and spoken.

Please note that the first interview for this position will be conducted entirely in English.
