Emapta Colombia is hiring a Loan Processor to handle mortgage loans from application to closing, with remote work and a focus on accuracy and timely delivery.

The role requires 2-4 years of loan processing experience, comfort with Google Workspace and DocuSign, and the ability to work across multiple lender portals and LOS/CRM systems.

Formación

  • 2-4 years of relevant loan processing experience.
  • Proficiency with Google Drive, Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, and DocuSign or willingness to learn.
  • Familiarity with PDF-editing software (Adobe Acrobat or similar).
  • Experience navigating multiple lender portals, LOS, and CRM platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Ability to learn multiple lender processing systems while keeping loan files organized.

Qualifications
Technical Skills
  • 2-4 years of relevant loan processing experience
  • Proficiency with or willingness to learn Google Drive, Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Calendar, and DocuSign
  • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat or other PDF-editing software
  • Experience navigating multiple lender portals, Loan Origination Systems (LOS), and CRM platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, preferred
  • Ability to learn multiple lender processing systems while maintaining organized and accurate active loan files
Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience processing U.S. mortgage loans
  • Experience with Hard Money, Debt Service Coverage Ratio (DSCR), Fix-and-Flip, or other Non-Qualified Mortgage (Non-QM) loan products, preferred
  • Excellent English communication skills and a professional phone presence
  • Confidence in communicating directly with borrowers throughout the loan process
  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple active loan files simultaneously
  • Initiative and capacity to work independently
  • Dependability and consistent adherence to deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to keeping transactions moving
  • Spanish-language proficiency, an advantage but not required
Responsibilities
Loan Processing
  • Process mortgage loans from application through closing.
  • Manage multiple active loan files simultaneously.
  • Submit and manage files across multiple lender portals and software platforms.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and organized digital loan files throughout each transaction.
  • Monitor loan milestones and keep files progressing according to schedule.
  • Coordinate with underwriters to clear conditions and obtain final approval.
  • Identify potential issues early and resolve them proactively before they delay closing.
Borrower Communication
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for borrowers throughout the loan process.
  • Schedule and conduct welcome intake calls with new borrowers.
  • Explain loan procedures, timelines, and documentation requirements clearly.
  • Provide proactive updates on loan statuses and next steps.
  • Respond to borrower questions professionally and promptly.
  • Arrange appointments when additional documentation or discussions are required.
  • Deliver a five-star customer experience from application through funding.
Document Collection and Review
  • Collect all documentation required to process each loan.
  • Review bank statements for completeness and accuracy.
  • Examine original and revised leases for required information.
  • Assess purchase contracts for completeness and consistency.
  • Evaluate insurance policies for compliance with lender requirements.
  • Verify LLC and other entity documents.
  • Confirm supporting documentation before submitting files to underwriting.
  • Request updated or revised documents as underwriting conditions arise.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready loan files.
Third-Party Coordination
  • Coordinate with underwriters, appraisal management companies, insurance brokers, title companies, property managers, loan officers, borrowers, and lending partners.
  • Order appraisals and track their progress through completion.
  • Work with insurance brokers to obtain or revise quotes and premiums according to lender requirements.
  • Partner with title companies to order title work, resolve title issues, and prepare transactions for closing.
  • Communicate with property managers to obtain leases, rent rolls, and other documents required for DSCR underwriting.
  • Keep all third-party services aligned with transaction schedules.
Loan Operations
  • Maintain accurate notes in the CRM and Loan Origination System.
  • Update loan milestones and pipeline statuses consistently.
  • Support loan officers with file preparation and transaction requirements.
  • Track outstanding underwriting conditions through resolution.
  • Confirm that all required documentation is complete before closing.
  • Assist with funding coordination when necessary.
  • Recommend improvements to internal processing systems and workflows.
Success Metrics
  • Process loans successfully and efficiently.
  • Minimize average loan closing times.
  • Complete loan closings according to schedule.
  • Reduce underwriting condition turnaround times.
