Job summary

Amadeus is seeking a Linux System Administrator to join the Database as a Service team, focusing on Linux administration for high-availability environments. Your role will evolve to include database-specific operations and automation support.

You will be responsible for Linux system administration, scripting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize infrastructure and automation initiatives. The role includes on-call rotations and weekend maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven advanced Linux system administration experience.
• Strong English proficiency.
• Experience with Linux in virtual and physical environments.
• Knowledge of automation tools (Ansible preferred) and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux systems (RHEL) in virtualized and physical environments.
• Ensure system health and performance using orchestration and management tools.
• Manage VM lifecycles in Azure and optional Google Cloud Platform.
• Use shell/bash scripting for efficient resource delivery.
• Participate in on-call rotations and occasional weekend maintenance.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation and contribute to knowledge bases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support automation initiatives.
