Job summary

Amadeus is seeking a Linux System Administrator to join the Platform Foundation Services team. You will administer Linux (RHEL) servers, monitor health and performance, and troubleshoot issues in both virtualized and physical environments, ensuring high availability and reliability for business-critical services.

The role includes hybrid work, growth into database operations and automation, scripting with bash, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and advanced Linux system administration.
• Strong operational experience in Linux environments (VM and physical).
• Proactive mindset with solid troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with NFS, CIFS, and OS-level scripting (bash).

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux systems (primarily RHEL).
• Manage virtual machine lifecycles in Azure and optionally Google Cloud Platform.
• Use shell/bash scripting for efficient and secure delivery of resources.
• Participate in on-call rotations and occasional weekend maintenance.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation and contribute to operational knowledge bases.
