EPAM Systems in Colombia seeks a Lead Platform Engineer to drive scalable automation across Developer Platform Engineering, DevSecOps, and Cloud Automation. You will lead hands-on engineering, mentor teams, and shape secure, AI-assisted workflows for enterprise-scale projects.

Responsibilities include building reusable GitHub Actions, Terraform-based AWS infra, and CI/CD improvements while collaborating with product owners and Scrum Masters. English communication is essential.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in software or platform engineering.
• Proven technical leadership with mentoring and ownership (1+ year).
• Advanced proficiency in Python.
• Expertise in AWS and Terraform.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, GitHub Enterprise, and CI/CD.
• Background in Infrastructure as Code, Docker, and Linux.
• DevSecOps experience with security tooling (SonarQube, CodeQL, Veracode).
• Familiarity with PagerDuty incident response.
• Hands-on experience with Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.
• Understanding of prompt engineering and AI-assisted software development.
• Ability to introduce AI into engineering workflows.
• Strong technical writing and documentation.
• Excellent written and spoken English (B2+).

We are looking for a Lead Platform Engineer to join one of the world's largest automotive services companies.

You will work within the Engineering Platform Team, responsible for GitHub Enterprise, reusable developer automation, cloud infrastructure, and secure engineering enablement. The project domain covers Developer Platform Engineering, DevSecOps, and Cloud Automation. As a technical leader, you will remain hands-on to deliver scalable platform automation, improve developer productivity, and establish AI-assisted engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software or platform engineering
• Proven technical leadership with strong mentoring and ownership skills (1+ years)
• Advanced proficiency in Python
• Expertise in AWS and Terraform
• Skills in GitHub Actions, GitHub Enterprise, and CI/CD
• Background in Infrastructure as Code, Docker, and Linux
• Competency in DevSecOps, operating production services, and security tooling (SonarQube, CodeQL, Veracode)
• Familiarity with PagerDuty for incident response
• Daily hands-on experience with Claude Code and/or GitHub Copilot
• Understanding of prompt engineering, LLM fundamentals, and AI-assisted software development
• Capability to introduce AI into engineering workflows
• Strong written documentation skills
• Excellent command of written and spoken English (B2+ level)

Nice to have

• Showcase of Anthropic Claude Code in real-world engineering scenarios
• Background in DevOps practices
• Knowledge of TypeScript and/or Node.js
