Félix is a fintech building the financial ecosystem for Latin immigrants in the U.S., starting with remittances. We operate an AI-powered WhatsApp chatbot to send money home quickly and affordably, leveraging AI, blockchain and stablecoins to improve cross-border payments.

As Lead Data Scientist for Fraud, you will design, deploy and monitor real-time fraud models, collaborate with product and risk teams, and translate complex analyses into actionable insights.

Formación

• 5+ years of hands-on data science with ML model deployment.
• Leadership experience guiding data science projects from inception to production.
• Expert-level Python for data analysis and modeling (pandas, scikit-learn).
• Advanced SQL for complex data extraction and manipulation.
• Deep experience with tree-based ML models (XGBoost, CatBoost, LightGBM) and statistical models.
• Knowledge of model explainability (SHAP, LIME) and ethics in lending.
• Experience with unsupervised methods (clustering, anomaly detection).
• Cloud platform experience (GCP/AWS/Azure) and MLOps familiarity.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management, with advanced English.

Responsabilidades

• Define long-term ML strategy for the fraud team and mentor junior data scientists.
• Own end-to-end fraud detection model lifecycle from data exploration to deployment.
• Design models for lending fraud, including synthetic identity and application fraud.
• Conduct deep-dive analyses into fraud patterns using clustering and anomaly detection.
• Design and run A/B tests to measure impact on fraud detection and user experience.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Risk, and Operations to integrate ML scores with rules.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain models in a cloud environment with high availability.
• Build dashboards to track KPIs like fraud loss rates and model performance.
