StoneX Group Inc. in Bogotá seeks a Data Science Lead to join the Global Data & Insights team, leading a small team delivering applied analytics, ML, and data products for global business and tech stakeholders.

The role guides priorities from intake to execution, ensuring technical quality and business outcomes while staying close to the work. This leadership position emphasizes coaching, communication, and delivering scalable analytics across data pipelines, model serving, and production

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent professional experience.
• Meaningful experience in data science, machine learning, analytics, or data product delivery with ownership of complex analytical or ML initiatives.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or guiding a small technical team.
• Strong hands-on capability with Python and SQL, with ability to review outputs and guide design.
• Experience developing, evaluating, and explaining machine learning models for business/use cases.
• Understanding production considerations for DS solutions including data quality, pipelines, model serving, and maintainability.
• Strong stakeholder management, able to clarify asks, manage expectations, and communicate tradeoffs.
• Experience building team routines for intake, prioritization, code review, and delivery tracking.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, coach, and develop a small team of data scientists and analysts.
• Translate priorities into well-scoped data science workstreams with clear success criteria and data needs.
• Assign and guide work, monitor progress, remove blockers, ensure timely delivery.
• Provide technical leadership across model development, evaluation, and implementation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify analytics value for operational or business problems.
• Work with data engineering and platform teams on pipelines, APIs, and production readiness.
