EPAM Systems Inc is seeking a Lead Data Software Engineer (Java+GCP) to drive the design and implementation of scalable data solutions on the Google Cloud Platform. You will lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality data products.

The role requires 5+ years in data software engineering, strong Java/SQL, GCP and Databricks expertise, and the ability to guide complex initiatives while communicating effectively in English.

Formación

• 5+ years of data software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java and SQL.
• Expertise in Google Cloud Platform and Databricks.
• Ability to design and lead complex data engineering initiatives.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design and development of data software solutions using Java and GCP.
• Architect scalable and reliable data pipelines on Databricks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define technical requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering team members.
• Ensure code quality through reviews, best practices and standards enforcement.
• Optimize SQL queries and data processing workflows for performance.
• Drive adoption of cloud-native solutions across data engineering projects.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders in English to align on project goals.
