Job summary

Anonymous in Bogota is seeking a Bilingual Lead Data Engineer to drive architecture and reliability of our data platform on GCP. You will lead data pipelines, optimize BigQuery models, and mentor engineers to ensure high quality and scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, collaboration with Analytics and Data Science, and ongoing cost‑efficiency improvements, with a work model that is primarily on-site and occasional remote days.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Data Engineering with leadership exposure.
• Expertise in GCP and BigQuery for scalable analytics.
• Hands-on with Cloud Run, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Airflow/Composer.
• IaC experience, preferably Terraform.
• Strong data modeling, orchestration and prod know‑how.
• Proven leadership, mentoring and problem solving.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands‑on technical leader who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, building scalable data solutions, and mentoring engineers while driving technical excellence.

What You’ll Do

• Lead data architecture and engineering decisions across our GCP data platform.

What We’re Looking For

• Significant experience in Data Engineering, ideally as a Technical Lead, Senior Engineer, or Data Architect.
• Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
• Hands‑on experience with Cloud Run, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Apache Airflow or Cloud Composer.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, pipeline orchestration, and production environments.
• Proven technical leadership, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.
• Full bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

What We Offer

• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
• Work Model: Primarily on‑site, with some work‑from‑home days.
