WSP en Colombia is seeking a CAD Designer to join the Rail and Transit Team in Bogotá. The role involves heavy and light rail transit design, mentorship of junior staff, and serving as a technical lead on multiple projects.

Qualifikationen

• Diploma in civil engineering technology fields from an accredited institution.
• 2-5 years related experience would be considered an asset. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Understanding of CAD practices related to transportation infrastructure, particularly LRT or commuter rail environments would be considered an asset.
• Familiar Civil 3D, Revit and AutoCAD, Bentley Inroads or Railtrack.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Excellent technical, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Creation and editing of 2D and 3D drawings in compliance with project CAD/BIM standards and transit authority requirements and/or WSP CAD Standards and detailing practices.
• Drafting of discipline specific drawings including the ability to generate sections, schedules and schematics from general arrangement drawings.
• Perform CAD/BIM design tasks as directed by the project team and support discipline-specific drawings for guideway layouts and system ducts.
• Generate sections, schedules, and schematics from general arrangements to support constructability reviews and interface validation.
• Support integration of systems interface elements into civil base models, including communication system equipment and cabling.
• Participate in QA/QC reviews and coordinate across disciplines and work packages.
• Coordinate with field/staging teams for construction interface meetings and ensure proper document management of drawings.
• Lead by example, mentor CAD Technicians, and contribute to overall CAD team capabilities.
