The Laundry Supervisor oversees work performed in the facility laundry area including receiving, cleaning and distribution of laundry. GEO provides complementary, turnkey solutions for government partners worldwide across correctional and community reentry services, including development of facilities, management services and rehabilitation.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent certification is required.
• Two (2) years of laundry experience in a large commercial establishment, one (1) year in a lead worker capacity.
• Knowledge of the principles, procedures, and equipment used in laundry in large quantities.
• Knowledge of laundry sanitation and safety measures.
• Knowledge of using bleaches, soaps, starches, and disinfectants.
• Knowledge on stain removal for various materials.
• Knowledge on maintenance and repair of laundry equipment.
• Ability to motivate and lead teams.
• Ability to work with computers and department software.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee pickup, sorting or distribution of laundry to detainees.
• Lead detainee workers and maintain security in the laundry area.
• Complete maintenance inspections, end-of-shift reports, weekly inventories, and cost-per-load documentation.
• Inspect industrial washers and dryers.
• Inspect clothing, laundry bags, towels and linen for repair or disposal.
• Order supplies and plan purchasing; maintain organized inventory system.
• Provide staff with up-to-date stocked item lists and ensure proper receiving/storage.
• Assist in periodic inventories and distribution of supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
