SOFTGIC in Bogotá invites applications for a Software Engineer – L3 Support / BAU on reporting platforms. The role emphasizes production incident ownership, troubleshooting, and ensuring stability of SQL-based reporting systems for web applications.

You will work closely with US teams and cross-functional groups to resolve complex issues. The ideal candidate has 4–8 years of L3/BAU experience, strong SSRS/SQL skills, ITIL familiarity, and effective communication.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 4–8 years of industry experience with hands-on L3/BAU support for web-based applications.
• Strong experience with SSRS or similar SQL-based reporting tools.
• Strong Microsoft SQL Server and SQL skills, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and query optimization.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices, application support processes, and source control tools such as GitHub.

Responsabilidades

• Provide L3 and BAU support for web-based applications and be the primary technical contact for incidents.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues, performance problems, bugs, and system errors to minimize downtime.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents and implement preventive improvements.
• Support and troubleshoot SQL-based reporting platforms, including SSRS, and work with Sigma or Power BI when applicable.
• Query, troubleshoot, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server components and database objects.
• Monitor application performance and identify opportunities for reliability and performance improvements.
• Collaborate with Development and Infrastructure teams to investigate issues and implement improvements.
• Participate in testing and deployment of updates, patches, enhancements, and bug fixes.
• Create and maintain SOPs and user guides, and provide training when required.
