Candidates should have 2-3 years experience in PHP (Laravel preferred) and frontend technologies. Formación

We're expanding our engineering team in Latin America and are looking for a Middle PHP Engineer passionate about building reliable, scalable platforms using modern technologies.

We are developing a cloud-based platform that helps businesses manage bookings, inventory, and operations in real time. The solution is built on PHP, Laravel, and modern web technologies, distributed across multiple repositories to support different business workflows.

As part of our engineering team, you'll contribute to the ongoing evolution of the platform, working on both backend and frontend features, supporting database modeling, and collaborating closely with product, design, and QA teams to deliver robust, high-quality functionality.

Required skills:

2-3 years of hands-on experience in software development
Experience building and maintaining backend features with PHP (Laravel experience is a strong plus)
Experience developing or supporting frontend features (e.g., with Vue.JS)
Good knowledge of SQL; ability to write and optimize queries, and experience working with database schemas
Familiarity with version control (preferably Git) and collaborating in multi-repository environments
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to adapt to changing project needs
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
Upper-intermediate (B2) English level or higher

Will be a plus:

Hands-on experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony
Exposure to Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and CI/CD pipelines
Experience working across multiple repositories and with shared code/services
Familiarity with cloud environments and distributed systems
Contributions to open-source projects or technical blogs
Knowledge of SOLID, CAP, or GRASP principles

Responsibilities:

Participate in the development and maintenance of PHP applications, both backend and frontend
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across different layers of the application
Write clean, efficient, and self-documented code following best practices
Contribute to database modeling and optimize SQL queries to support business workflows
Implement and support automated tests to ensure code quality and reliability
Collaborate with team members, including developers, QA, and product managers, to define requirements and deliver solutions
Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and shared knowledge across the team
Work across multiple repositories and contribute to coordinated releases
