StoneX Group Inc. is seeking a hands-on Java Software Engineer to join our Technology Ecosystem. You will build high-performing, enterprise-grade applications, primarily server-side, across the full stack, and work in a global Agile team.

You will contribute to architecture, design, and development while collaborating with stakeholders. The role requires strong Java/Spring experience, REST/gRPC, and cloud/container expertise, with a hybrid work arrangement in Bogotá.

Formación

• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial services or FinTech is preferred.
• Experience developing services using Java/Spring (ideal).
• Experience building RESTful APIs and gRPC services.
• Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
• Exposure to distributed messaging/streaming platforms (Apache Kafka).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred).
• Experience with TDD/BDD and testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of SQL and No-SQL databases.
• Experience working in a global Agile team.
• High English proficiency.

Responsibilities

Position Purpose:

We are looking for a hands-on Java Software Engineer with experience in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications. The role will encompass development across all tiers of the application stack.

You will be part of a talented engineer team that works on low-latency mission-critical applications. Roles and responsibilities include application architecture and development across full software development lifecycle from concept and design to testing, collaborating with like-minded engineers. Technically leading team of highly skilled software engineers, forging relationships with key stakeholders across diverse user base.

Primary duties will include as per below product roadmap:

• Primary focus on server-side development
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle working within Agile methodology
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code
• Ensure designs follow specifications
• Prepare and produce releases of software components
• Support continuous improvement by investigating new technology and presenting for architectural review

Qualifications: To land this role you will need

• Minimum 3 years’ experience ideally within Financial services, FinTech
• Experience developing services using Java/Spring (ideal)
• Experience developing Restful API’s, gRPC seravice
• Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
• Exposure with distributed messaging / streaming platforms (Apache Kafka)
• Experience build CI/CD pipelines (ideally Azure DevOps)
• Experience with TDD/BDD, testing framework
• knowledge of Relational Databases SQL and No-SQL databases
• Experience working as part of global Agile team
• Advance level of English

Education / Certification Requirements

• University qualification in Computer Science / Software Engineering or similar discipline OR a great GitHub portfolio showcasing your most recent projects.

Working environment

• Hybrid – 4 days in office ((Office location: Avenida Carrera 9A - Avenida Carrera 9A # 115-06/30 Edificio Torre Tierrafirme Bogotá, 110111 Colombia).
