A leading logistics company is seeking an Inventory Management Specialist for a hybrid role based in Medellin, Colombia. The ideal candidate will ensure inventory reliability and optimize warehouse processes, focusing heavily on SAP WMS and team training. Candidates should have a technical or related educational background, with familiarity in administrative processes. Strong Excel skills are a must. This position requires onsite presence approximately three days a week.

Overview

Position is HYBRID, with the new expectation to be onsite about 3 days/week in Colombia (not North America). Seeking candidates near Medellin, or nearby municipalities such as Girardota and Copacana.

Job Mission

Guarantee total inventory reliability and visibility of capability behavior and warehouse spaces while supporting operational excellence in all logistics operations.

Responsibilities

• Daily inventory control, operational balances, damages, and team training.
• Support operation and resource programming.
• Coordinate cycle counts and audited inventories for raw materials, spare parts, and finished products.
• Ensure product expiration info in CEDI and raw materials.
• Blocked product control, obsoletes, write-offs, and disposal records.
• Monitor and control operational and inventory KPIs.
• WMS configuration and training.
• Review inventory levels and ensure customer supply.
• CEDI capacity management and optimization leadership.
• Ensure replenishment from external storage and monitor inter-plant transits.
• Lead efficiency, LEAN, and savings projects.
• Internal Controls Leader.
• Ensure monthly updating of CEDI procedures.
• Support month-end closing.
• Monthly Inventory Value Report.
• Manage and optimize warehouse storage spaces.
• Process write-offs, monitor blocked materials, and manage corrective actions.
• Coordinate logistics with planning, purchasing, export, and import.
• Update inventory profiles.
• Ensure FIFO compliance.
• CEDI Biometric Leader.
• Lead transport claims.
• Internal audits for CEDI and warehouse.
• Implement corporate programs (EHS, QMS, EWMA, Chain of Custody, FORCE, MGI, SOX).
• Ensure compliance with One KC behaviors.

Quality Responsibilities

• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Support KPI monitoring and consumer satisfaction.

Job Requirements

• Education: Technical/technologist or related fields. Preferred: Accounting, admin, or industrial engineering.
• Knowledge: Administrative processes, WMS in SAP, staff management, Excel intermediate/advanced.
