GeorgiaTEK Systems Inc. seeks an experienced IBM iSeries (AS/400) Infrastructure Administrator – L3 to manage, support, and optimize enterprise IBM i environments in Colombia/LATAM. You will handle advanced issues, system upgrades, security, backups, HA/DR, HMC, and VIOS administration.

The role requires mentoring L1/L2 teams, coordinating with vendors, and participating in 24x7 production support. The ideal candidate has 11+ years of IBM i administration and strong problem-solving skills.

Formación

• 11+ years of experience in IBM i / AS/400 Administration.
• Strong experience with IBM Power Systems, HMC, and VIOS.
• Strong knowledge of HA/DR, BRMS, backup/recovery, and storage.
• Experience with IBM i security and networking.
• Experience with PTF management and IBM i upgrades.
• Strong troubleshooting and L3 escalation experience.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to support critical incidents and planned maintenance outside business hours.

Responsabilidades

• Provide L3 technical support and mentor L1/L2 teams.
• Administer and troubleshoot IBM i / AS/400 environments.
• Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability.
• Manage IBM i security, SSL/digital certificates, SSH, and access controls.
• Manage BRMS, backups, recovery, and disaster recovery.
• Administer High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) environments.
• Manage storage, IFS, disk balancing, and SAN connectivity.
• Configure and troubleshoot IBM i TCP/IP networking.
• Manage Advanced Job Scheduler and production workloads.
• Administer tape libraries, devices, firmware, and media.
• Perform IBM i OS upgrades, PTF management, and maintenance.
• Administer HMC, including partitions, firmware upgrades, security, and backups.
• Administer VIOS, including Virtual SCSI, NPIV, SEA, SAN, and virtual media.
• Perform LPAR disk management and VIOS upgrades/patching.
• Coordinate with IBM and third-party vendors for technical issues.
• Support infrastructure projects, migrations, maintenance, and DR testing.
• Participate in 24x7 production support and on-call rotation.
