Job summary

The English School in Bogotá is seeking a committed Self-Contained Teacher to lead a designated class and teach multiple subject areas within the IB PYP framework. You will foster a safe, inclusive learning environment aligned with the learner profile and holistic education.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering differentiated instruction, monitoring progress, collaborating with families and colleagues, and contributing to school-wide initiatives and safeguarding policies.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• English proficiency at C1/C2 level.
• Experience as a classroom teacher is preferred.
• Knowledge of IB PYP is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess instruction across multiple subjects for the same group of students within the IB PYP framework.
• Design inquiry-based and differentiated learning experiences to address students’ needs.
• Promote a positive classroom climate grounded in respect and wellbeing.
• Monitor student progress and communicate with families.
• Implement inclusive practices and safeguarding policies.
• Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives.
• Collaborate in planning and reflection per IB best practices.
