GCB is seeking a Self-Contained Preschool Teacher to lead developmentally appropriate learning in a bilingual, internationally minded environment. You will design integrated experiences that nurture curiosity, independence, communication, creativity, confidence, and love of learning for young children.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in ECE (or related), a Master's/PGCE preferred, 2+ years of preschool teaching experience, and strong English proficiency with CEFR C1 or equivalent.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Master's degree and/or PGCE/PGDE preferred with evidence of strong early childhood pedagogy.
• 3–5 years of successful teaching experience, ideally international/bilingual.
• Experience in bilingual, international or multicultural school environment.
• Native English speakers strongly preferred; non‑native must show CEFR C1 proficiency.
• Evidence: IELTS ≥ 7.0, TOEFL iBT ≥ 95, or Cambridge C1/C2.

What you will do

As a Self-Contained Preschool Teacher, you will play a central role in creating and leading rich, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for young learners within a bilingual, internationally minded environment.

As the primary teacher responsible for your class, you will design an integrated learning experience that nurtures children's curiosity, independence, communication, creativity, confidence, and love of learning, while supporting their cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language development.

At GCB, the Early Years classroom is where curiosity becomes a habit. You will nurture children's natural wonder about the world through purposeful play, hand‑on exploration, inquiry, storytelling, movement, creative expression, and meaningful opportunities for communication and early literacy and numeracy development.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Preschool Education, Education, or a closely related field.
• A Master's degree and/or PGCE/PGDE is highly preferred, particularly with evidence of strong preparation in early childhood pedagogy, inquiry‑based learning and child development.
• Candidates should bring at least three to five years of successful teaching experience, ideally with in international or bilingual schools, with demonstrated strength in Early Years education and an ability to make learning experiences engaging, meaningful, joyful, and appropriately challenging for young children.
• Experience working in a bilingual, international, or multicultural school environment.
• Native English speakers are strongly preferred.
• Candidates whose first language is not English must provide evidence of proficiency at a minimum C1 level of the CEFR, demonstrated by an internationally recognized credential such as:
• IELTS ≥ 7.0
• TOEFL iBT ≥ 95
• Cambridge C1 Advanced / C2 Proficiency

The package has been designed to ensure a seamless transition and a genuinely comfortable life in Bogotá: Housing ( rent, furnishings, and utility costs) is covered for the duration of the contract; all visa and consular fees are met by the institution. Daily subsidized transportation to and from school and as well as workday lunch on campus are provided. Comprehensive medical insurance is in place from the first day of the contract, so that your focus from arrival is entirely on your students and your professional growth.
