I'm partnering with one of Europe's fastest-growing SaaS technology companies on the search for a Head of Security.

This is not a traditional governance-led security role.

We're looking for an engineering-first security leader who understands how to build a world-class security function without slowing down product development. You'll work as a trusted partner to Engineering and Product, embedding security into everything the business does whilst enabling teams to continue moving at pace.

If you've built your career through Security Engineering, DevSecOps or Application Security, before progressing into leadership, this could be a fantastic opportunity with a career path to CISO.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the VP of Engineering, you'll take ownership of the company's security strategy across both the product and wider business, leading a growing team covering Compliance, DevSecOps and Application Security.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll balance technical credibility with people leadership, helping shape the future of security within a fast-scaling SaaS business.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary Security team across Compliance, DevSecOps and Application Security.
• Partner closely with Engineering and Product to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Build a security-first culture that enables innovation rather than restricting it.
• Define security strategy, policies and technical roadmaps.
• Improve platform resilience against threats and security incidents.
• Lead incident response, vulnerability management and security improvements.
• Balance business objectives, engineering velocity and security risk.

What We're Looking For

• Strong background in Security Engineering, DevSecOps or Application Security.
• Experience leading and developing technical security teams.
• Previous experience within a SaaS or product-led technology company.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, application security and modern engineering environments.
• Comfortable operating strategically whilst remaining technically credible.
• Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence Engineering and Product teams.
• Fluent English is essential. Spanish would be beneficial but is not required.
