You will apply secure coding standards, collaborate with the security team to prioritize findings, and help protect critical financial platforms. The role is fully remote with global opportunities.

Formación

• 5+ years of software engineering with a strong application security focus.
• Proficiency in Java.
• Experience in application security, including secure coding and remediation.
• Experience with React.
• Availability to work Eastern hours.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Application Security Engineer (Java) at BairesDev

In this role, you'll triage flagged security findings, determining which are real, then remediate them directly in Java services and React front ends. Working within a login and authentication security context, your security judgment and coding skills work together to close real vulnerabilities, not just flag them. What You'll Do

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong application security focus.
• Strong proficiency in Java.
• Demonstrated application security experience, including secure coding and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience with React.
• Availability to work Eastern hours.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Nice To Have

• Experience with Angular.
• Experience with SAST or static analysis tooling.
• Experience with AI‑assisted development tools such as agent‑based tooling.
