Job summary

Tetra Pak in Bogotá, Colombia seeks an Automation Engineer to design, implement, and validate automation solutions for food and beverage projects. You will collaborate with Project Centre teams across countries, working with PLC/SCADA, MES, and electrical systems to ensure reliable, efficient operations.

You will lead start-up, commissioning, and training activities, while solving technical issues and delivering high‑quality results in a dynamic international environment.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Solid PLC/SCADA programming and commissioning experience.
• Familiar with MES, virtualization, and industrial networks.
• Knowledge of ISA-88/ISA-95 or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing, and validation of automation solutions.
• Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to meet requirements.
• Develop specifications for automation and electrical systems.
• Configure and integrate PLC/SCADA, MES, networks, and databases.
• Execute start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, and support.
• Provide technical training and knowledge transfer to customer teams.
• Act as automation stakeholder throughout the project lifecycle.
