Bluelight is a leading software consultancy expanding its team across the US and Americas. We seek a senior backend developer to build high-quality, scalable applications in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will design and implement low-latency RESTful services in Node.js/TypeScript, work with PostgreSQL, and contribute to frontend tasks when needed, ensuring security and multi-tenant architectures. Remote collaboration and US-hour overlap are common.

Formación

• >5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused).
• Proficiency with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and RLS, secure multi-tenant environments.
• Able to write raw SQL and manage migrations.
• Proficient in React and full-stack work when needed.
• Strong testing, including integration tests against real databases.
• Comfortable overlapping US business hours.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Requirements

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused)
• Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs
• Experience with SDK integrations to other services
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security (RLS)
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations (e.g., node-postgres, node-pg-migrate)
• Professional experience with React
• Strong testing practices, including integration tests against real databases and failure-mode/fault-injection testing
• Experience working with AI coding assistants as part of daily development
• CI/CD application creation and maintenance skills
• Solid understanding of full stack development, with the ability to contribute to frontend work when needed
• Substantial background working with large, complex systems
• Ability to overlap US business hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in compliance-sensitive or audit-heavy domains (e.g., fintech, telecom/TCPA compliance)
