LatamCent is seeking a software engineer to partner with bold consumer brands, turning Shopify data into polished native mobile apps. You will own live customer accounts, shipping requests end-to-end and building repeatable patterns for future launches.

You’ll work directly with Shopify data, implement UI from metafields and metaobjects, and guide customers from audit to a live 2–3 week launch. Remote in Latin America, US-hours overlap apply.

The Opportunity

This role exists because the company's customers are strong-opinionated consumer brands who need a dedicated technical partner turning their Shopify data into a polished, on-brand mobile app fast. In your first 90 days you'll take ownership of a set of live customer accounts and start shipping their implementation requests directly. By month 12, you'll be the go-to technical partner for a growing roster of brands, with a library of documented patterns behind you. If you get real satisfaction from taking a customer's ask in the morning and shipping it by afternoon, this is built for you.

What You'll Own

• Scope, build, and ship customer implementation requests end to end, bundle builders with conditional pricing, custom PDP modules, loyalty-gated collections, segmented campaigns, personalized feeds, then move to the next one.
• Turn a customer's existing Shopify data (product, variant, and collection metafields, metaobject entries) into correct, working app UI, quickly and repeatedly, this is the daily core of the job.
• Lead new customer launches: audit their Shopify setup, map their custom data to the platform, configure their initial app, and ship a live launch in roughly 2-3 weeks.
• Hold the long-term technical relationship for the accounts you onboard, you're the person who knows their store and what they care about.
• Execute cleanly inside each customer's existing brand system, their colors, type, spacing, tone, so every build feels native to their brand, not templated.
• Triage a request queue that always outpaces available hours, deciding what ships this week in partnership with the customer and the internal CS team.
• Convert repeat problems into documented internal playbooks, and surface recurring customer asks to leadership as concrete product gaps.

What We're Looking For

• 3-6 years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years shipping React Native in production, navigation, native modules, performance debugging, iOS/Android platform differences.
• 2+ years working deeply inside the Shopify ecosystem, with production experience building metafield- and metaobject-driven UI (definitions, namespaces, ownership models, storefront access).
• Hands-on production experience with the Shopify Admin API (GraphQL) and Storefront API, including schema traversal, pagination, and throttling.
• Comfortable reading and writing Liquid fluently, and experienced modifying or building production Online Store 2.0 themes (sections, blocks, dynamic sources, app blocks).
• Production experience with TypeScript, React, and Node in customer-facing products.
• Real design judgment: design-literate, comfortable reading Figma files and extracting a brand's tokens, able to build cleanly inside an existing visual system rather than inventing a new one.
• Comfortable communicating with customers daily through Slack and our support platform, with regular live calls as needed — scoping on the fly, and writing clearly (Slack updates, Loom walkthroughs, email).

Nice to Have

• Background at a Shopify Partner agency, Shopify implementation shop, or Shopify app company — we've had strong results with people who come from fast-turnaround, client-facing service delivery.
• Familiarity with Shopify Plus tooling, Functions, Checkout Extensibility, Flow, B2B, Markets.
• Working knowledge of common e-commerce ecosystem tools (Klaviyo, Attentive, Recharge, Rebuy, Yotpo, Loop, Gorgias, Okendo or similar) and how they integrate with Shopify.
• Exposure to headless commerce patterns (Hydrogen, Oxygen, or Next.js storefronts).
• Deep Figma fluency, beyond reading and extracting tokens.
