Confidential Executive Search is conducting a confidential search for a leading multinational in the industrial sector to appoint a Finance Manager in Colombia, who will lead the local finance function and partner with regional leadership to drive financial excellence. The role requires IFRS expertise, a CPA/ACCA, 10+ years in finance and 5+ years leading teams, preferably in manufacturing. You will oversee budgeting, reporting, treasury, tax, internal controls and cross-border accounting.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• CPA or internationally recognised certifications are highly desirable.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience.
• At least 5 years leading finance teams in multinational environments.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the overall finance function for the Colombian operation.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with IFRS and Colombian regulations.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, financial analyses, and executive reports to support business decisions.
• Manage treasury operations, cash flow planning, banking relationships, and foreign currency transactions.
• Oversee tax compliance and coordinate external audits and regulatory requirements.
• Strengthen internal controls, financial governance, and risk management processes.
• Partner with regional and global finance teams on reporting, planning, and strategic initiatives.
• Lead, coach, and develop the local finance team.
• Drive continuous improvement and process optimisation across the finance function.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.


• CPA or internationally recognised certifications (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) are highly desirable.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience.


• At least 5 years leading finance teams.


• Previous experience in multinational companies is required.


• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, engineering, construction, or heavy equipment industries is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Colombian accounting and tax regulations.


• Extensive experience in financial planning, budgeting, treasury, and internal controls.


• ERP experience (SAP preferred).


• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.


• Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving capabilities.

Languages

• Professional proficiency in Spanish.


• Advanced English is mandatory. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively with international stakeholders and prepare executive-level reports in English.
