SGS GBS Americas is seeking a Finance Optimization & Automation Senior Analyst to lead process excellence, automation, and digital transformation across O2C, P2P, and R2R. You will partner with global stakeholders to design scalable finance solutions and deliver measurable improvements.

You will apply Lean, Six Sigma, and AI-driven approaches to optimize cycles, strengthen controls, and drive a best-in-class finance service delivery model across regions.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of professional experience in Finance Operations or related.
• Experience with O2C, P2P, and/or R2R processes.
• Proven experience leading process redesign and automation initiatives.
• Experience in multinational Shared Services/GBS environments.
• Exposure to AI, RPA, Finance Automation or Digital Transformation is desirable.
• Advanced English (C1) required; frequent global interaction.

The Finance Optimization & Automation Senior Analyst will lead process excellence, automation, digital transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives across GBS Finance Operations.

The role focuses on analyzing, redesigning, standardizing, optimizing, and automating finance processes across the Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Record-to-Report (R2R) value streams, with the goal of improving efficiency, scalability, controls, service quality, and stakeholder experience.

The position will partner with Finance Operations, GBS Leadership, Digital Transformation, IT, and global stakeholders to implement technology-driven solutions and support a best-in-class Finance service delivery model.

Reports to: Head of Finance, GBS Americas

Key Responsibilities

Finance Process Excellence & Optimization

• Analyze and continuously improve finance processes across O2C, P2P, and R2R.
• Lead process mapping, redesign, standardization, and optimization initiatives.
• Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, process variations, and non-value-added activities.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence methodologies.
• Ensure alignment with internal controls, compliance, risk management, and audit requirements.

O2C, P2P & R2R Optimization

• Improve processes related to collections, disputes, billing, cash application, credit management, and customer onboarding.
• Optimize vendor onboarding, invoice processing, approvals, purchase orders, and payment operations.
• Improve month-end/year-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting, and accounting processes.
• Identify opportunities to simplify workflows and improve accuracy, efficiency, and cycle times.

Automation & Digital Transformation

• Identify, prioritize, and implement automation opportunities across Finance Operations.
• Develop automation use cases using technologies such as Power Automate, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, and other workflow solutions.
• Partner with Finance Technology and IT teams to implement automation and Low-Code/No-Code solutions.
• Develop business cases and ROI assessments for transformation initiatives.
• Monitor automation performance and business impact.

Artificial Intelligence & Innovation

• Act as a Finance subject matter expert for Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies.
• Identify and develop AI use cases across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Accounting, Financial Close, Reporting, and Shared Services.
• Support solutions using Generative AI, AI Agents, Digital Assistants, and Predictive Analytics.
• Promote responsible AI adoption while ensuring compliance, security, and governance.
• Measure the productivity, quality, and service impact of AI initiatives.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

• Define and monitor KPIs, SLAs, cycle times, productivity, quality, automation adoption, and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Develop dashboards and performance reporting.
• Conduct root cause analysis and lead corrective actions.
• Facilitate continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives across Finance Operations.

Stakeholder Management & Change Enablement

• Collaborate with Finance Leaders, GBS Leaders, Business Controllers, IT, Digital Transformation, and regional stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops focused on process redesign, technology adoption, and continuous improvement.
• Support change management, communication, training, and adoption of new solutions.
• Act as a trusted advisor on Finance Transformation, Process Excellence, Automation, and AI.

Education

Bachelor's degree in:

• Finance

• Or related fields.

Additional education or certifications in Digital Transformation, Operational Excellence, Automation, AI, Data Analytics, Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or Agile is valued.

Experience

• 5–7 years of professional experience in Finance Operations, Shared Services, GBS, Process Excellence, Automation, Continuous Improvement, or Finance Transformation.
• Experience supporting or optimizing O2C, P2P, and/or R2R processes.
• Proven experience leading process redesign and automation initiatives.
• Experience working in multinational, Shared Services, or GBS environments.
• Experience with technology-enabled transformation and process standardization.
• Exposure to AI, RPA, Finance Automation, or Digital Transformation is highly desirable.

Knowledge of:

• Finance: O2C, P2P, R2R, Shared Services, Financial Controls, and Reporting.
• Process Excellence: Lean, Six Sigma, BPM, Process Reengineering, Value Stream Mapping, and Continuous Improvement.
• Automation: Power Platform, Power Automate, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Intelligent Document Processing, Workflow Automation, and API Integrations.
• AI: Generative AI, Prompt Engineering, AI Agents, Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, Conversational AI, and Responsible AI.
• Data & Analytics: Power BI, Advanced Excel, Process Analytics, Data Visualization, KPI Design, and Finance Analytics.

Languages

English: Advanced / Fluent – C1 minimum mandatory.

The role requires frequent interaction with global stakeholders, participation in international transformation initiatives, facilitation of workshops, presentations, and coordination of projects across multiple regions.
