Job summary

IBM Consulting in Colombia seeks an analytical and meticulous Accounts Payable professional to manage inquiries via email and ticketing systems. You will investigate each case, provide timely responses, and follow up until resolution in a high-volume environment.

The role requires SAP payment runs, payment file management, and close collaboration with Invoice Processing and Payment teams to ensure accurate, compliant processing and month-end closing.

Qualifications

• Experience handling accounts payable inquiries via email and ticketing systems.
• Ability to investigate and resolve payment issues with accuracy.
• Comfort with high-volume workloads in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding invoices, payments, and outstanding balances.
• Manage a high-volume workload of 70 to 100 emails per day, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of inquiries.
• Investigate requests through SAP research, supporting documentation review, and detailed analysis of available information.
• Identify and resolve issues related to blocked invoices, payment delays, balance discrepancies, and other Accounts Payable exceptions.
• Provide clear, accurate, and solution-focused responses that effectively address the root cause of each inquiry.
• Partner with Invoice Processing and Payment teams to drive resolution of complex cases requiring cross-functional support.
• Maintain accurate records of actions taken, ensuring tickets are properly documented and monitored through closure.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements that reduce response times, increase efficiency, and minimize rework.
