Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking an analytical accounts payable specialist to manage inquiries received by email and ticketing systems. The role requires investigating each case, providing clear responses, and following up until resolution in a high‑volume environment.

You will interact with suppliers and internal teams, handle a large daily email load, and work with SAP to review and resolve payment issues, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all transactions.

Qualifications

• Manage accounts payable enquiries via email and ticketing systems.
• Investigate payment cases and provide clear, timely responses.
• Follow up until resolution with high service standards.
• Maintain accurate records and support month-end closing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding invoices and payments.
• Handle 70–100 emails per day with timely, accurate resolutions.
• Investigate requests through SAP research and review supporting docs.
• Identify and resolve blocked invoices, delays, and balance discrepancies.
• Provide solution-oriented responses addressing root causes.
• Collaborate with Invoice Processing and Payment teams to resolve complex cases.
• Document actions and monitor tickets through closure.
• Suggest process improvements to reduce response times and rework.
