Canonical is hiring an Engineering Manager for the MAAS team. You will lead a distributed group of engineers across time zones, shaping the strategy for Metal as a Service, and ensuring high-quality software from Python/Go to the web interface and CLI.

You will mentor engineers, drive technical delivery, collaborate with teams such as cloud-init, LXD and public cloud offerings, and advocate modern development practices.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related field.
• Proven experience delivering software with Python or Golang.
• Experience with Linux system administration and modern cloud technologies.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a distributed engineering team across time zones and align on strategy.
• Coach and mentor engineers, drive career development and performance.
• Set expectations with other teams and external stakeholders.
• Promote modern software development practices and oversee coding and architecture reviews.
• Collaborate with Canonical teams and partners across the organization.
• Travel to internal and external events for 4–6 weeks per year.
