Canonical is hiring an Engineering Manager for Ceph & Distributed Storage. You will lead a globally distributed team of engineers, drive architecture, and ensure high-quality software delivery in a remote, travel-enabled role.

You should bring a strong software engineering background (Python and C++) and a track record of building scalable storage systems on Linux, preferably Ceph, while fostering growth and a culture of engineering excellence across the organization.

Formación

• Background in software engineering with Python and C++ experience.
• Experience operating scale-out storage on Linux, preferably Ceph.
• Track record of leadership, coaching and mentoring engineers.
• Interest in building products to improve software and infrastructure operations.
• Strong knowledge of software development and agile practices.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a team building a Ceph-focused software-defined storage solution.
• Build and manage a globally distributed team of engineers.
• Coach and develop your team through feedback and growth.
• Contribute to architecture, quality, testing and documentation.
• Set schedules and manage expectations with other teams and stakeholders.
• Advance modern agile software development practices.
• Maintain a culture of quality and engineering excellence.
• Collaborate with leadership and travel up to 20%.
