AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking an Elixir Engineer to build and maintain a growing software platform as a core member of a small engineering team.

You will work across application areas, collaborating with product managers to translate user problems into technical solutions and deliver reliable, well-tested production code. The role requires 2+ years of software development, strong Elixir/Erlang experience, and a solid understanding of functional programming.

Qualificações

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on Elixir and/or Erlang experience.
• Strong understanding of functional programming.
• Experience building production web applications.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Experience designing, consuming, or maintaining APIs.
• Strong fundamentals of software engineering and modern practices.
• Ability to own and deliver tasks independently.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent English communication.
• Based in Latin America with overlap with Austin, TX. Travel to the United States may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Build, maintain, and improve the software platform using Elixir.
• Collaborate across areas of the application as part of a small team.
• Work with product managers to translate problems into technical solutions.
• Participate in technical and product discussions and decisions.
• Own development work from requirements to delivery.
• Build and maintain integrations with internal and external services and APIs.
• Work with PostgreSQL and the data layer.
• Write reliable, well-tested production code.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the application.
• Contribute to the platform and engineering practices as the product grows.
• Communicate progress and blockers clearly with the team.
• Adapt to evolving priorities as the company grows.
