AgileEngine is seeking an Elixir Engineer to build, maintain, and improve a growing software platform as an embedded member of a small team. You will work across the application, collaborate with product managers, and own tasks from requirements to delivery.

Formación

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Elixir and/or Erlang.
• Strong understanding of functional programming principles.
• Professional experience building and maintaining production web applications.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Experience designing, consuming, or maintaining APIs and service integrations.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and modern development practices.
• Ability to independently own and deliver engineering tasks.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Comfortable working across different areas of a product with non-engineering stakeholders.
• English communication skills and LATAM-based availability for overlapping hours.
• Willingness to travel to the United States occasionally.

Responsabilidades

• Build, maintain, and improve the software platform using Elixir.
• Work across different areas of the application as part of a small engineering team.
• Collaborate closely with product managers to translate user problems into technical solutions.
• Participate in technical and product discussions and contribute to implementation decisions.
• Take ownership of development work from requirements through implementation and delivery.
• Build and maintain integrations with internal and external services and APIs.
• Work with PostgreSQL and the application’s data layer.
• Write reliable, maintainable, well-tested production code.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the application.
• Contribute to the evolution of the platform and engineering practices as the product grows.
• Communicate progress, technical considerations, tradeoffs, and blockers clearly with the broader team.
