The role involves overseeing ISO 14001 implementation, coordinating safety committees, and conducting risk assessments, audits, and training to reduce hazards and energy use. Strong leadership and English proficiency are essential.

Formación

  • Bachelor-level degree in a relevant field (Industrial Engineering, Environmental Health, Occupational Health, or related).
  • 5+ years in EHS roles with leadership experience.
  • Intermediate English proficiency (speaking, reading, writing).

Responsabilidades

  • Lead EHS activities across the manufacturing site.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and local regulations incl. STPS.
  • Maintain ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
  • Coordinate safety committees and emergency plans.
  • Conduct EHS inspections, risk assessments, and audits; implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor EHS performance and drive improvement initiatives.

Descripción del empleo

We are looking for an EHS Manager to lead and strengthen Environmental, Health & Safety practices at our manufacturing site. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with internal policies, legal and regulatory requirements, and environmental management standards, while promoting a strong safety culture and continuous improvement across the organization.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) activities across the manufacturing site.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, applicable legal requirements, STPS regulations, and other EHS requirements.
  • Manage, maintain, and ensure compliance with the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
  • Coordinate safety and hygiene committees, emergency brigades, and site emergency preparedness and response plans.
  • Conduct EHS inspections, risk assessments, and internal audits, developing and following up on corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Monitor and report EHS performance, including accident and incident indicators, environmental objectives, and other established metrics.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce hazardous waste, energy and water consumption, while increasing the recovery and recycling of materials.
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments within operational areas and recommend improvements to reduce workplace risks.
  • Coordinate occupational health, ergonomics, and workplace accident programs in partnership with the medical service.
  • Oversee contractors and service providers to ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and environmental requirements.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training and awareness programs for employees.
  • Oversee the appropriate use and distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Provide EHS guidance and support to Operations, Administration, Maintenance, Quality, and other functional areas.
  • Promote a culture of prevention, employee engagement, and continuous improvement in workplace safety and environmental performance.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Occupational Health, Nursing, Medicine, or a related field.
  • Minimum +5 years of experience in EHS-related roles, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Intermediate English proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge and hands‑on experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
  • Experience as an internal auditor for safety and/or environmental management systems.
  • Knowledge of integrated management systems.
