Huge is seeking a Director of Quality Engineering to lead and evolve a globally distributed QA practice from Bogotá, Colombia. You will shape and grow a 75+ QA team across four countries, driving the transition to AI-augmented quality engineering and building the methodologies that make quality a continuous, intelligent capability across the full software lifecycle.

Formación

• Experience leading globally distributed quality engineering organizations at scale.
• Driven shift from manual to automated testing with an AI-native QE perspective.
• Fluent with modern automation tooling (Playwright, Cypress, Appium) and AI-powered test tools like Testim, Mabl, or Applitools.
• Understanding of CI/CD, microservices architecture, and SDLC quality integration.

The role.

Huge is looking for a Director, Quality Engineering to lead and evolve our globally distributed QA practice from our Bogota, Colombia office. In this role, you will help shape and grow a team of 75+ QA professionals across four countries, drive the transition from manual-heavy testing to AI-augmented quality engineering, and build the methodology and frameworks that make quality a continuous, intelligent capability woven across the full software development lifecycle.

What you'll be doing.

• Define and advance an AI-native quality engineering strategy that treats quality as a continuous discipline, not a phase. Build the frameworks, maturity models, and tooling standards that make this real across four global offices.
• Lead the shift from manual to AI-augmented automated testing across web, mobile, and API. Set direction on tooling selection, automation architecture, and what good looks like at scale.
• Embed quality across the full SDLC. Partner with engineering, product, design, and BA leadership to introduce AI-powered quality gates and shift-left practices at design, development, integration, and release stages.
• Design and socialize methodology and governance frameworks that create consistency across teams and geographies, including automation maturity models and quality health metrics.
• Lead, coach, and develop a globally distributed team of 75+ QA engineers and professionals through QA Leads and Managers. Build a culture of craft, curiosity, and AI fluency.
• Serve as a credible quality engineering voice in client conversations. Partner with business development and delivery leadership to position Huge's AI-native QE capability as a market differentiator.

What we'd like to see.

• You have deep experience leading globally distributed quality engineering organizations at scale, with a track record of real transformation, not incremental improvement.
• You have driven the shift from manual to automated testing at an organizational level, with a clear and defensible point of view on what AI-native quality engineering looks like.
• You are fluent in modern automation tooling (Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or equivalent) and have hands-on familiarity with AI-powered test tools such as Testim, Mabl, or Applitools.
• You understand CI/CD pipeline integration, microservices architecture, and how quality engineering fits into each stage of a modern SDLC.
• You have managed through leads and managers across multiple countries and time zones, with the cross-cultural fluency to lead effectively in a distributed, relationship-oriented environment.
• You communicate with equal credibility to an individual contributor and a C-suite executive, and you bring the same clarity to technical frameworks as you do to client conversations.
• You are based in Bogota, Colombia, or willing to relocate. Agency or multi-client consultancy experience is a strong plus.
