Johnson & Johnson in Bogotá, Colombia, seeks a Director, HR Services Procurement Americas to lead the HR Services procurement category across the Americas, spanning North America and Latin America, representing about $1 billion in enterprise spend.

Lead regional category strategy, manage key supplier relationships, and develop a high-performing team while aligning with regional business strategies and Talent Management initiatives. Travel approx. 10% may be required.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years related experience.
  • Minimum of five years of people management experience.

Job Description

Director, HR Services Procurement Americas This role is accountable for leading the HR Services Procurement category across the Americas, including North America and Latin America, representing approximately $1 billion in enterprise spend. The role’s scope of responsibility includes:

  • Determine business needs across the Americas and develop procurement strategies that advance regional priorities.
  • Identify industry trends and incorporate them into category strategies to maintain relevance to Johnson & Johnson’s workforce strategy.
  • Lead and develop regional teams responsible for category strategy development, implementation, and key supplier management.
  • Lead major strategic negotiations for assigned subcategories on behalf of Johnson & Johnson.
  • Coordinate with Global Talent Management business partners and, where appropriate, senior J&J leaders to align with regional business strategies.
  • Deliver against performance targets for the Indirect Services Procurement organization across assigned areas of responsibility.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • 40% — Category Strategy: Own and lead category strategy development and implementation.
  • 30% — Supplier Management: Own and lead key supplier relationships across the Americas.
  • 15% — People Leadership: Lead, engage, and develop team members, including completion of performance reviews.
  • 15% — Stakeholder Management: Build relationships with key business stakeholders responsible for HR.
Other Duties

Complete ad hoc assignments as determined by corporate priorities.

Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA or other advanced degree is desirable.
  • Related Experience: Minimum of 10 years.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to understand challenges from the perspective of regional business leaders.
  • Strong influencing skills and the ability to persuade others to change behavior in pursuit of a common goal.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills with senior executives and peers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to confidently present complex information to senior executives.
  • Broad understanding of core procurement disciplines, including spend management, category management, and supplier management.
  • Strong project and change management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated learning agility and a commitment to developing self and others.
Travel Requirements

Approximately 10% domestic and international travel is required.

People Management Experience

A minimum of five years of people management experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an applicable field of study; an advanced degree is preferred, with an MBA considered a plus.

  • Ability to present effectively to large audiences.
  • Spend management or source-to-pay experience in HR Services and/or Indirect Services Procurement.
  • Ability to inspire an organization to achieve stretch goals.
  • High credibility with internal customers and the supplier community, supported by broad experience.
  • Proven success leading cross-functional teams and executing significant change programs.
  • Multi-country and multi-industry experience across geographies of varied sizes and business environments.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and responsiveness to changes in the external environment while enabling effective organizational transitions.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The role has three direct reports within North America HR Services: one M1, one M2, and one PG26. Areas of oversight include Source to Contracting and PMO responsibilities.

  • Make pay and promotional recommendations and decisions.

  • Recommend budget amounts and make budget decisions.
