Electronic Arts Bogotá is seeking a Development Manager to lead QA project planning and execution onsite in Bogotá, Colombia. You will coordinate schedules with studio partners and QA peers, drive project metrics, and influence game design and implementation through strong collaboration.

You will mentor QA staff, manage risks, and report progress to leadership, while fostering a productive, knowledge-sharing environment across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
• 3+ years in project management or QA team leadership.
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum or Kanban and bug tracking tools.
• Understanding of software development processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

This role requires you to work onsite from Bogotá, Colombia (Salitre area).

Our Quality Verification and Standards (QVS) team is integral to our development process. They consistently deliver actionable insights that help our game teams optimize software performance and elevate gameplay.

You will join us as a Development Manager, reporting to the Development Director.

You will work closely with the FC Live team, overseeing QA project planning and execution with studio partners. You will collaborate with development teams and QA peers to coordinate project schedules, strategize tests, and manage project metrics. You will be an essential part of the knowledge transfer process and communication with the game team and partner groups. In partnership with QA leaders, you will work towards enhancing QA practices, sharing expertise, and advocating for game design and implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee project schedules and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
• Modify priorities on the fly based on critical changes.
• Balance scope, timelines, and overall project quality.
• Identify and mitigate risks, manage blockers, prioritize tasks, and ensure project goals are met.
• Ensure effective reporting to leadership and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders, including developers, analysts, and producers.
• Conduct regular meetings, such as stand-ups and planning sessions, to align team efforts.
• Communicate project expectations and progress updates effectively.
• Encourage partner engagement.
• Determine and manage resource requirements for the project.
• Handle capacity planning, scheduling, and tracking of tasks.
• Manage, mentor, and support QA team members.
• Conduct performance reviews, career development, and training.
• Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
• 3+ years of experience in project management or team leadership roles in QA.
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban) and bug tracking tools.
• Understanding of software development processes.
• Stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with white-box/gray-box testing techniques.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
