Job summary

QuantumBlack, AI by McKinsey seeks a data engineer to design and build scalable data pipelines powering AI applications. You will work with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and clients to deliver robust data foundations across projects.

Based in Bogotá, you will contribute to secure data environments, feature engineering, and MLOps practices while collaborating with a global team and advancing your expertise in agentic AI technologies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years' experience in a data-focused role (internships, academic projects).
• Strong Python/SQL coding skills and well-documented code.
• Familiar with data platforms and cloud providers (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and MLOps concepts is a plus.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to multiple project stacks.
• Strong English and Spanish communication.

Responsibilities

• Build foundational data infrastructure powering AI applications.
• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and secure data environments.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and clients on projects.
• Translate hypotheses into engineered features and contribute to R&D.
