The National Audubon Society in Colombia is offering a Conservation and Local Communities Intern role. This remote internship (Colombia) includes 40 hours/week with some fieldwork and a COP 2,000,000 monthly stipend.

You will support field data collection, literature reviews, and outreach for bird-friendly practices, while gaining experience in biodiversity monitoring and community engagement. Ideal candidates are biology/ecology/environmental management students, with interest in field research

Formación

  • Be an active student in biology, ecology, environmental management, or a related field at a Colombian university.
  • Interest in field research and bird conservation.
  • English proficiency is preferred.

Responsabilidades

  • Support field data collection and on-the-ground research activities.
  • Conduct literature reviews and organize ecological data.
  • Assist in promoting bird-friendly and environmentally sustainable productive practices.
  • Support the application process for different grants.
  • Assist operational and administrative processes of conservation projects.
  • Maintain and foster a culture of safety.
