Audubon Colombia is offering a remote internship in Colombia with fieldwork. You will engage in field data collection, biodiversity monitoring, and data analysis to support conservation projects with hands-on learning and professional mentorship.

The program runs January 2027 to July 2027, requiring 40 hours per week. It provides mentorship, institutional certification upon completion, and financial support for interns during the assignment.

Formación

  • Be an active student in biology, ecology, environmental management, or a related field at a Colombian university.
  • Interest in field research and bird conservation.
  • Remote with some fieldwork required; English proficiency preferred.

Responsabilidades

Are you passionate about conservation and working with communities? Audubon's Latin America and Caribbean program in Colombia invites university students interested in strengthening their knowledge and experience in field research, biodiversity monitoring, and conservation.

This internship supports Audubon's conservation and community-based projects in Colombia, providing hands-on experience in field research, biodiversity monitoring, and sustainable practices that benefit birds and local communities.

Internship Information

Length of Assignment: January 2027 – July 2027

Hours: 40 hours per week

This role is remote in Colombia with some fieldwork required.

Compensation: COP 2,000.000 monthly

Essential Functions

Selected interns will support projects related to:

  • Supporting field data collection and on-the-ground research activities
  • Conducting literature reviews and organizing ecological data.
  • Assisting in the promotion of bird-friendly and environmentally sustainable productive practices
  • Support on the application process for different grants.
  • Supporting operational and administrative processes of conservation projects
  • Maintaining and fostering a culture of safety.

Qualifications and Experience

Be an active student in biology, ecology, environmental management, or a related field at a Colombian university, with an internship required as part of the degree program. Interest in field research and bird conservation. Remote with some fieldwork required English proficiency is preferred.
