WSP in Colombia is seeking a Civil Engineering-in-Training to assist with planning, design, and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects, including roads, water systems, and drainage. The role blends technical design with field review and reports to support projects through the full lifecycle.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree, are proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office, and can work with multidisciplinary teams.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office.
• Knowledge of municipal engineering design including grading, stormwater, water distribution, and sanitary systems.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and stormwater modeling software is an asset.
• Strong technical writing skills for reports and field documentation.
• Excellent communication and coordination with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors.
• English language is an asset and French language proficiency is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, plans, profiles, and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D for municipal infrastructure projects.
• Perform hydraulic, stormwater management, grading, and earthwork calculations to support project design and delivery.
• Assist in the preparation of engineering reports, technical memoranda, and permit applications for municipal and regulatory approvals.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, contractors, and senior engineers to advance projects from concept through construction.
• Conduct field reviews and site inspections to verify construction compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Document site progress, observations, and deficiencies through detailed field reports and photographic records.
• Witness and record quality assurance testing activities, including soil compaction, concrete testing, and other construction verification processes.
• Support the development of sustainable and resilient infrastructure that positively impacts local communities and future generations.
