EPAM Systems seeks a Chief Forward Deployed Engineer to act as a self-directed technical leader. You will work directly with clients to shape requirements and deliver production-ready software, weaving AI-assisted coding into daily practice and driving end-to-end ownership.

You will guide architecture decisions, oversee multi-team delivery, and ensure alignment with business goals. This role demands senior technical depth, strong communication, and a proactive, hands-on approach.

Formación

• Seven+ years in software engineering.
• At least 2 years directing and overseeing engineering teams.
• Experience with .NET (C#) backend and Angular frontend.
• Real-world AWS deployment and maintenance experience.
• Hands-on with GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted coding tools.
• Proven ability to engage with business audiences and run agile delivery.
• Strong English communication at C1 level or higher.

Responsabilidades

We're seeking a Chief Forward Deployed Engineer who will function as a self-directed technical leader working closely with business stakeholders. Rather than relying on a Business Analyst or Scrum Master, you'll engage directly with clients to shape requirements and ship software ready for production use. Speed and end-to-end ownership define this role, which means weaving GitHub Copilot and other AI-driven tools into the fabric of your everyday coding practice.

Responsibilities

• Act as the go-to technical contact for clients from project kickoff through completion
• Convert broad business objectives into concrete technical strategies and step-by-step delivery plans
• Take full responsibility for guiding projects from the earliest idea stage all the way to production launch
• Exercise independent judgment when selecting architecture, tools, and implementation methods, operating with limited supervision
• Work in tandem with various teams across the organization to keep technical work and business objectives moving in sync
• Spot possible obstacles or risks ahead of time and craft workarounds to keep timelines intact
• Coach and develop fellow engineers to elevate the team's technical capability and output
• Regularly fine-tune internal processes and methods to speed up delivery while preserving high standards
• Communicate project status, key technical choices, and results to business stakeholders using accessible, jargon-free language
• Pivot readily in response to changing demands and client requirements without losing project momentum

Requirements

• Seven-plus years of practical, applicable experience in the software engineering field
• At least 2 years spent directing and overseeing engineering teams
• Verified capability across the full stack, pairing .NET (C#) for backend work with Angular for frontend development
• Real-world experience rolling out and maintaining applications hosted on AWS
• Regular, hands-on daily engagement with GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted coding platforms integrated into standard development practices
• Demonstrated skill in engaging with business audiences, gathering requirements, and running agile delivery independently, without leaning on BA or Scrum Master roles
• Sharp abilities in debugging, auditing code, and securing applications, applied toward scrutinizing and polishing AI-produced code prior to release
• Capable communicator with English proficiency at C1 level or beyond, able to grasp business needs and convert them into agent-based architectural designs

• Exposure to Azure DevOps for overseeing project pipelines, monitoring tasks, and enabling continuous integration and deployment processes
