Job summary

Plata Card in Colombia is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead all finance functions as we build a licensed financial institution from the ground up. You will shape the financial strategy, oversee planning and reporting, and partner with leadership to drive disciplined growth.

This hands-on leadership role requires building a high-performing local finance team, establishing scalable processes, and managing governance, regulatory relations, and capital readiness in a highly regulated

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a financial leadership role within banking (or regulated financial services).
• Strong IFRS and Colombian GAAP accounting knowledge.
• Experience building a bank P&L and balance sheet models from scratch.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Familiarity with governance, internal controls, and risk management frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall financial strategy aligned with long-term objectives.
• Oversee planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis across units.
• Ensure IFRS/Colombia GAAP compliance and accurate financial statements (P&L, BS, CF).
• Manage relationships with banks, regulators, auditors, and investors.
• Develop capital structure strategy and treasury operations to support growth.
• Provide strategic support for fundraising and investor relations as needed.
• Collaborate with leadership to drive performance and risk management.
