Job summary

Octus is seeking a Fundamentals Analyst to join its global finance team. You will build Excel-based models, analyze financial statements, and determine capital structures for debt issuers, while ensuring data accuracy across the coverage universe.

During the first six months in Bogota, you will have a training shift from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm local time, aligning with the Los Angeles team. You will later transition to a 9:00 am to 6:00 pm schedule as you gain autonomy.

Qualifications

• Graduates with degrees in economics, accounting or finance.
• Ability to interpret financial statements and model relationships quantitatively.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills; eager to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Analyse financial reporting documents including earnings reports and presentations.
• Prepare detailed financial models focused on issuers’ capital structure.
• Build and maintain capital structures on a quarterly or monthly basis.
• Leverage AI tools to improve workflow efficiency and automate tasks.
• Participate in ad hoc projects to improve data quality and products.
