Job summary

Octus's Fundamentals Analyst program provides an entry point into financial data and credit markets. You will build and maintain debt issuer capital structures in Excel, calculate credit metrics, and ensure data quality across our coverage universe.

You will gain grounding in financial statement analysis, accounting, and credit metrics through hands-on work in a collaborative, action-oriented team environment.

Qualifications

• Graduates with degrees in economics, accounting or finance.
• Ability to interpret financial statements to evaluate business performance and relationships.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; tenacity to resolve complex issues.
• Interest in credit markets or financial markets in general.
• Desire to learn and apply newly acquired skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyse financial reporting documents including earnings reports and presentations, offering memorandums, lender presentations, credit agreements and other.
• Prepare detailed financial models focusing on issuer capital structures including debt instruments and terms.
• Build and maintain capital structures on a quarterly or monthly basis and for key events.
• Leverage AI tools to improve workflow efficiency and automate repetitive tasks.
• Participate in ad hoc projects to improve data quality and products.
