Job summary

Opella is seeking a Business Analysis Controlling Analyst in Colombia to support financial decision-making through cost control, forecasting and reporting. You will partner with business and finance teams to deliver reliable insights and drive performance across the organization.

You will lead cost reviews, budgets and forecasts, maintain data quality, and contribute to internal control activities while promoting sustainability and social impact in every decision.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial analysis, controlling, or accounting.
• Strong understanding of cost management and reporting.
• Advanced English required (B2+).

Responsibilities

As a Business Analysis Controlling Analyst, you will support financial decision-making by ensuring accurate cost control, forecasting and reporting. You will partner with business and finance teams to provide clear insights, strengthen financial processes and help drive performance across the organization. You will play a key role in delivering reliable financial data, identifying opportunities and supporting strategic planning. Main responsibilities:

• Support monthly closing activities, ensuring accuracy in cost and operating expense reporting.
• Review and manage accruals, expense classification and financial data in local systems.
• Analyze country and regional costs, including structural costs, personnel expenses and headcount trends.
• Partner with business teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts, identifying risks, opportunities and key cost drivers.
• Maintain data quality and support financial systems and master data processes.
• Contribute to internal control and audit activities to ensure compliance and accuracy.

About you:

• Experience in financial analysis, controlling, or accounting with a strong understanding of cost management and reporting.
• Strong experiencie in Opex processes and closing.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present it clearly.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, organize work effectively and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills to work with diverse teams.
• Degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (such as SAP) and reporting tools (such as TM1).
• Advanced level of English, B2 or Higher.
