Job summary

Opella Healthcare Colombia S.A.S. is seeking an A2R GBS Closing and Reporting Accountant to join our global finance team. You’ll support monthly close and reporting across six Latin American countries, gaining exposure to regional operations and multinational reporting processes.

You’ll prepare entries, reconciliations, inventory and fixed assets activities, and collaborate across countries to ensure timely, accurate financial statements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Experience in accounting, financial reporting, closing processes or general ledger.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
• Ability to analyse information and meet deadlines.
• English proficiency around B2 for meetings with international stakeholders.
• SAP and IFRS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly closing and reporting activities with established timelines.
• Prepare and post entries, adjustments, and reconciliations.
• Assist with inventory accounting including standard cost updates.
• Support fixed asset activities: capitalization, depreciation, month-end reviews.
• Perform balance sheet and P&L reconciliations and provide analysis.
• Collaborate across countries and functions to ensure consistency.

Main responsibilities:

• Support monthly closing and reporting activities in line with established accounting timelines.
• Prepare and post accounting entries, adjustments and reconciliations while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with inventory accounting activities, including standard cost updates and related reporting processes.
• Support fixed asset accounting activities such as capitalization, depreciation and month-end reviews.
• Perform balance sheet and profit and loss reconciliations and contribute to financial analysis and reporting.
• Work with accounting systems to resolve process issues, follow up on requests and support corrective actions.
• Collaborate with colleagues across different countries and functions to ensure efficient and consistent accounting operations.

About you:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Experience supporting accounting, financial reporting, closing processes or general ledger activities.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
• Ability to analyse information, solve problems and deliver accurate work within deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative environment and supporting multiple priorities.
• English proficiency at an intermediate to upper-intermediate level (approximately B2) to participate in meetings and communicate with international stakeholders.
• Experience with SAP, shared services environments, inventory accounting, fixed assets or IFRS is a plus.
