Job summary

Applaudo is seeking a skilled Backend Developer focused on Python and FastAPI to design reliable, scalable backend services. You will build REST APIs, microservices, and data integrations, leveraging SQLAlchemy and Celery for asynchronous workflows in Kubernetes and Azure environments.

You will own the delivery of maintainable, well-documented solutions, collaborate with a US-based team, and contribute to data analytics and enterprise data operations. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven backend development experience in Python and FastAPI.
• Strong design of REST APIs and data modeling with SQLAlchemy.
• Experience with asynchronous task queues (Celery) and distributed systems.
• Hands-on knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and cloud services integration.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with an international team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Build microservices to support enterprise applications and data workflows.
• Implement data persistence with SQLAlchemy and relational databases.
• Develop asynchronous tasks and scheduled jobs with Celery.
• Integrate applications with APIs and Azure cloud services.
• Containerize apps with Docker and deploy in Kubernetes clusters.
• Document APIs and design decisions; communicate progress and risks.
