Applaudo seeks a skilled Backend Developer with strong Python expertise to design and build reliable, scalable services. You will craft APIs using FastAPI, develop microservices, and orchestrate tasks with Celery in Kubernetes environments.

You will work on cloud-based solutions in Azure, implement robust data pipelines, and collaborate with a US-based team. The role emphasizes ownership, documentation, and proactive communication to deliver high-quality software on time.

Formación

• Strong Python and FastAPI backend development proficiency.
• Hands-on experience with SQLAlchemy and relational databases.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain reliable backend services and REST APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Build and maintain microservices that support enterprise applications, integrations, and data and analytics operations.
• Implement database access and persistence layers using SQLAlchemy and relational databases.
• Develop and manage asynchronous tasks, scheduled jobs, and background processing workflows using Celery.
• Support ETL processes and data workflow orchestration to enable reliable data processing and integration.
• Integrate applications with third-party APIs and Azure services, implementing appropriate authentication and access controls.
• Containerize applications using Docker and deploy and operate services in Kubernetes environments.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, improve service reliability, and optimize application performance.
• Contribute to dashboards and supporting services for enterprise data and analytics operations as needed.
• Maintain clear documentation of APIs, integrations, technical decisions, and development processes.
• Collaborate with team members to clarify requirements, identify potential risks, and deliver maintainable solutions.
• Communicate progress, blockers, and risks proactively, proposing solutions and ensuring commitments are met.

• Strong professional experience developing backend applications and services using Python.
• Hands‑on experience designing, building, and maintaining REST APIs with FastAPI.
• Solid experience with SQLAlchemy and relational databases.
• Strong SQL skills, including writing and optimizing queries.
• Hands‑on experience with Celery for asynchronous task processing, scheduling, and background job orchestration.
• Experience designing and implementing microservices and integrating third‑party APIs.
• Understanding of ETL architectures and data workflow orchestration.
• Experience deploying and running services in Kubernetes environments, with working knowledge of Docker.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure as the primary cloud platform.
• Experience with cloud authentication, authorization, and integrating applications with cloud services and external providers.
• Understanding of application reliability, error handling, troubleshooting, and maintainable software design.
